Please include the specific prompts you utilized to generate the three (3) headlines. These prompts must be based on class content. We spoke about this in detail in class. Explain in detail the following:
  1. List the initial prompt you started with and a detailed explanation of why you created this based on course content. (4 Marks)

The Initial Prompt I started with: Generate a Digital content headline about the St. Clair College Advertising Program, targeting local graduating high school students in Windsor, Ontario. Use 10 words or less and numbers. Make sure that the headlines spark curiosity.

Reasons Why I Created This Prompt:

  • Defines the Goal: Based on the course content discussed in class, one reason why I created this prompt is because it defines the goal.  This prompt uses the context implemented to generate headlines that define the goal of what it is the headline is trying to accomplish. More specifically what is trying to be achieved through using this prompt to generate headlines for the St. Clair College Advertising program. To further add, I also created this prompt is because it’s a prompt that I used the most relevant information in, to help in it better generate content that would really catch the attention of a graduating high school student.
  • Uses Clear Instructions: Based on the course content discussed in class another reason why I created this prompt is because it uses clear instructions. While creating this prompt. When creating this prompt, I used clear instructions stating what my intent was and what it was that I wanted to accomplish. As discussed in class, AI needs clear instructions, so that it can understand what it is that you want, which is why it’s the prompt I chose to use.
  • List the final two (2) prompts you created to generate the other (2) headlines. For each, explain how you modified each including what you did in why. This must be based on class content only. (8 Marks)

The Final Two Prompts I Created to Generate the Other Two Headlines:

  • Prompt #2: Generate a Digital content headline about the St. Clair College Advertising Program, targeting local graduating high school students in Windsor, Ontario. Use 60 characters or less and numbers. Make sure that the headlines spark curiosity and will call the reader to take an action.
    • How I Modified Prompt #2:
      • Was More Specific: One way in which I modified this prompt is by being more specific about the type of prompt that I wanted ChatGPT to generate. For example. I instructed it to use 60 characters or less instead of just 10 words or less. I decided to be more specific with this so that ChatGPT would be able to have a more accurate understanding of the type of headline to generate.
      • Focused What I Wanted: Another way in which I modified this prompt is that I focused more on what it was that I wanted. Instead of being too detailed, I focused more on instructing ChatGPT about what I wanted. I didn’t really tell ChatGPT what I didn’t want but felt it would be better to specifically instruct it to create a headline that was more targeted towards local graduating high school students.
  • Prompt #3: Generate a digital content headline with a Call-to-Action for the St. Clair College Advertising program, targeting local graduating high school students in Windsor, Ontario. Use 60 characters or less and evoke curiosity and interest.
  • How I Modified Final Prompt #3:
    • Added A Call-to-Action: One way in which I modified this prompt is by instructing ChatGPT to include a Call-to-Action in the headline that I instructed it to generate. I did this why instructing ChatGPT to include a Call-to-Action for the St. Clair College Advertising Program. I did this because I wanted to generate a headline using ChatGPT that would call people, specifically local graduating high school students in Windsor Ontario to take an interest in the St. Clair College Advertising Program.
